Run your antivirus scanner to scan for possible malware which might
be running in the background that is slowing down your computer. Your
computer may be running out of hard drive space. Try deleting files or
uninstalling some programs you don't need.

You can also run Disk Defragmenter. This will ensure all pieces of each file or program are stored close together in your computer, so the computer will be able to access them more quickly.
